Welcome to Langley Schools
The Langley School District welcomes hundreds of new students, families, and staff to our schools every year. This is one of the biggest, fastest growing districts in British Columbia.

The Langley School District, is situated on the traditional, unceded territories of the Matsqui, Kwantlen, Katzie, and Semiahmoo First Nations.
The District covers both the City of Langley and the Township of Langley and is located in the central Fraser Valley – 40 kilometres east of Vancouver. It is bordered on the north by the Fraser River and by the Canada/U.S. border to the south. The District has an annual budget of $414 million, employs more than 3,800 staff and serves more than 26,800 students at 46 different schools.
There are more than a hundred different languages spoken in the homes of our students, staff, and families. The District is committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in our schools. Our staff work together at the District and school level to collaborate and create a positive learning environment for all students. This work is carried out in the actions outlined in the District’s Strategic Plan. At the Langley School District, the academic focus is on literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional learning. Our educators engage students in other subjects including applied design, skills and technology, as well as athletics and the arts. A number of choice programs and academies are also offered in the District to meet the needs and interests of students. Outdoor education, Montessori, Fundamental and Fine Arts programming is offered in the District. There are also academies that specialize in equestrian, hockey, baseball, softball, soccer, rugby and more. The District strives to offer relevant, meaningful choices for students to ignite a lifelong passion for learning.
