Welcome Back!

We trust that everyone has had a relaxing summer with family and friends! It’s such an important time to reconnect with loved ones and re-energize. We would like to welcome new families, students and staff to the BGMS Raptors family! We know that it is going to be a spectacular year at Betty Gilbert Middle School and we look forward to connecting with you.

At Betty Gilbert Middle School we will continue the amazing work that students, staff, and parents have invested into the Aldergrove community. We are all part of this community and it is here at the school where we come together and support the social, intellectual, and emotional growth of the students that are our future of Aldergrove. At BGMS, we are committed to helping our students grow and provide an enriching environment where every individual has the right to achieve their full learning potential. Our school aligns with the Langley School District’s Mission, “To inspire all learners to reach their full potential and create a positive legacy for the future”. In partnership with families, we seek to connect students to the school, the community, and to one another. Our staff, students, and families strive to pursue and adhere to our school’s core values of Empathy, Kindness, Respect, Responsibility, and Integrity, understanding that these values are universally beneficial for adolescents and adults alike.

In addition to building relationships, the middle school experience is about exploring and pursuing our passions. It is our goal that all students find a place at BGMS where they feel a sense of belonging and where their talents flourish. We encourage students to take advantage of the many opportunities provided by the school, including a variety of Explorations courses, ADST projects, sports teams, and school clubs. It is through these shared experiences that students discover their strengths, build friendships, and strengthen their connection to school.

We feel privileged to be able to be part of the BGMS Raptors community and we look forward to working with families and students throughout the school year.
