Students earn high school and post-secondary credits while completing 12 credits towards an Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.

 

About the Program

Are you passionate about shaping future generations by nurturing young minds? Our Early Childhood Education (ECE) Dual Credit Program offers a unique opportunity for high school students to jumpstart their careers in early childhood education while earning both high school and post-secondary credits. The program, in partnership with University of the Fraser

Valley (UFV), allows students to complete FOUR courses towards their Early Childhood Education Certificate. Students earn these post-secondary credits while also receiving credits towards high school graduation.

Requirements

  • Be registered in the Langley School District
  • Be 18 or younger on June 30 of application year
  • Have not graduated from high school before starting the program
  • Be on track to graduate

Prerequisites

Have completed before the start of the program:

  • Grade 11
  • English 11

Recommended:

  • C+ or higher in English 10 and Math 10
  • Experience working with children
