Introduction to Health Science Course
About the Program
- The Langley School District (SD35), in partnership with Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU), offers a dual credit Introduction to Health Science HSCI 1115 course. In this course, students are introduced to the multifaceted field of health science and the foundations of promoting health and wellness.
- This KPU Langley Campus summer class offers SD35 students an opportunity to take a post-secondary course in Health Science while still in high school, earning both high school credits as well as postsecondary credits.

Requirements
- Be registered in the Langley School District
- Be 18 or younger on June 30 of application year
- Have not graduated from high school before starting the program
- Have intention to graduate
Prerequisites
Have completed before the start of the program:
- Grade 11
- English 11
Recommended:
- B or higher in English 10 and Math 10
- Intention to/strong interest in pursuing a career in health science with a focus on nursing
